Spending time outdoors is an important part of a student’s daily experience. At a minimum, students
spend time outside each day during recess. In the event of freezing temperatures or moderate rain,
students dress for the weather and still go outside. In instances of extreme weather, as outlined below,
students stay inside during the school day.
Extreme Cold:
If it is below 0 degrees “real feel” (with the wind chill/feels like temperature), students remain inside.
This means coming indoors in the morning before school and having indoor recess.
