Where did you grow up? Springfield, Vermont
Favorite part of afterschool or working with children/youth: My favorite part of working with kids is their ability to embrace every aspect of themselves and their unique perspectives. I think those qualities are really special, and it’s awesome to be able to experience them every day.
Hobbies/what do you like to do outside of work: When I’m not working, most of my time is spent with my friends or my cat, Butters. During the summer, I love to be outside and I’ve recently become interested in kayaking. I ski in the winter and I love to dance as well. My goal for this year is to learn to knit!
Professional experience and education: I graduated from UVM in 2014 with a BS in Animal Science. This past year, I completed the Teacher Apprenticeship Program at Champlain College. Once my portfolio is complete, I will have a teaching license in middle level English and science. Prior to my work at Champlain College, I completed two years of AmeriCorps service here in Vermont.

Where did you grow up? I was born and raised in Washington DC, but have always had strong family roots in Vermont and moved here after college.
Favorite part of afterschool or working with children/youth: I have always loved working with kids, in part because I love the idea that I can make an impact on a young person’s life just by being present with them.
Hobbies/what do you like to do outside of work: Outside of work, I volunteer with some local organizations and enjoy photography as a hobby.
Professional experience and education: I have a degree in psychology and a minor in Early Intervention. I have worked in schools, daycares, hospitals and special education.
